That's kinda weird..

I noticed two of my sites got traffic from someone searching google for: "site:mydomain.com". They were thrown up like a few days prior and nothing but LP's for stupid offers..

thats a search from google staff. surprised your campaigns didnt halt a few minutes later.

Check the referrer against the IP and see if they match up; you could be getting referrer spoofed by a competitor trying to scare people to take down their LPs.

If the competitor is somehow able to spoof his IP address, then he has the knowledge to take down a person's landing page even quicker.

If you are the company that bills the customer they will come down hard. If you are the affiliate promoting the product then you have to just worry about false advertising which the ftc rules over.

Just do what I do, put a little * next to the "comments" and at the bottom put in small text *comments not real

bangoo ass covered..

But seriously Americans are so litigious hungry its getting ridiculous, from those stupid warning labels on the most common sense of products, to those 3/4 screen shots of "conditions" in car commercials to those laughable million words/second disclaimers for radio contests/promotions

Seriously... I like the Katt Williams skit when he talks about getting products to treat problems, but the "possible side effects" ARE WORSE THAN YOUR CURRENT PROBLEM!

You have a stomach ache, take this med, but side effects include: diarrhea, nausea, upset stomach, bloating, gas, etc etc etc

wtf

Some lawyer once talked about that website can do pretty much anything they want to if it's clearly stated in their terms of service and in privacy policy. You are suppose to read those documents before you "use the service". Don't take this as a legal advice since I just happened to hear this from some lawyer friend years back but more of an idea how to save your ass from getting sued if unsure.
