FTC to Regulate Blogs

RIP flogs, long live fnews articles!

Seriously it doesn't look like a big deal to me. Basically saying that if you're a blogger and a company is compensating you then you'll need to disclose it. Just do what all the forex/investment and "make money" sites do and put a link to a "compensation disclaimer" in the footer.

That whole article is such mindless crap. I really don't know if journalists are stupid or they just write automatically in yellow journalism.

In May, IZEA, an Orlando, Fla.-based firm that matches advertisers with 265,000 bloggers, began sending reports to advertisers on whether hired bloggers are disclosing compensation arrangements, as IZEA requires. Such bloggers are paid as much as $3,000 for a 200-word post.

It almost sounds like getting $3,000 for a post is a normal thing. Or that 265,000 bloggers get those type of deals.

Maybe 20 or 30 people in the whole world, and they don't do all of them as they don't want to hurt their readership.

Crap writing. No wonder people read blogs.

it's hilarious this news is being thrown around amongst actual bloggers. they think it's all about them.
