Fuck Bros...

I've actually been thinking about this for a while. I'd love a service that handles the customization and email marketing, reporting to me, and then suggesting improvements. Almost like a specialist in email marketing - would be a huge help for people with even small lists, cause you can grow revenues easily with current emails, so justifying the costs is easy... If there was only someone smart enough to recognize the opportunities - this would be a great service.

I would do it but

Skyped you. Email is too damn easy to be ignoring. I see horrible emails in my inbox, literally the only thing they get right is haphazardly dropping a link in there for me to click on. Yeah, you can bet these guys don't give a shit either because it still works for them even when they are doing practically everything else wrong.

Sure you can really break down specific things like finding your voice, tonality, style, technique, ect... But at the very top of everyone's inbox is an opportunity to put your marketing message right in front of your prospect; every day, every other day, every other month even...If you have something to say and can somehow connect it to your product or service, it's as easy as pushing the damn send button. Yeah, stupid to ignore email these days.

Email marketing is not totally dead, I think people just need to think of a great subject line and great content. Something that when you read it, you won't regret opening that email.

email is crazy effective if you send the right people the right stuff.
once you figured out what works for your customers, its more about keeping your hand steady so you don't blast them with emails every few minutes because it works so well and loose all your subscribers

i cant find it but i thought there was an enlightened thread about it somewhere, why not just pm the dude if you find it.

Are you wanting to completely outsource the email campaigns to someone?

would people here be interested in a competitive intel tool for email marketing? i.e. one that signs up to all your competitors newsletters, lets you view them, analyzes them for trends, etc.

I've thought about making this and could definitely put it together if people want it. If so let me know what features you would want.

This is a great idea, problem is getting it in front of your potential buyers. As observed in this thread and from feedback from OP on his adventure to find a service that would solve his problem with email; also most people have no idea what is going on with the email thing. Most, not all, I know a lot of you are smart as fuck with your words. But it is a unique angle that I think would work well if you did position it correctly. I archive a lot of lists that I am on and periodically read through them to steal action verbs and other fancy metaphors that I would have otherwise not thought of myself. It's worth gold IMO to have a tool such as the one you imagine building for anyone who sells with email. It would be cool to have a tool that identified these things automatically in a report, although that seems difficult to do.

Here's a good example of how simple emails can be super effective. Simple as in creating curiosity / interest and driving them to your offer.

Just messaged you on Skype.

I think this is something I could very easily do. We have the technology for this level of understanding and then some, it just needs to be slightly repurposed.

I for one would be a subscriber to such a tool that can pull out certain peices from the body of the copy such as:

-metaphors (which is why I thought this would prove to be impossible, never mind difficult)
-action verbs or phrases used in the copy that hit hard, I.e are unique and hard to find uses of them otherwise (how does a software do this, tho?)
-use of made up or twisted words that are not even found in the dictionary, this usually comes down to the style of the writer. I don't steal these but I do think of ways I can say them differently myself. there's a reason they twist them around. Style is huge when writing email copy, that's how people remember you and look forward to hearing from you next. If you're boring, well fuck you then.

Yeah, just those 3 things would make for a very interesting email copywriting product/service for people who actually write copy. Of course there is more but I imagine that would be a great place to try and build off of.
