Gay, I know, but I've always kinda wanted to try it.
I'm thinking I'll do a "real bum marketing" type thing, and do it all on free or cheap traffic sources, mainly offline to online advertising. I have a fair amount of experience with offline to online marketing, and I know a shitload about marketing in general, so I think I could throw together some decent tips.

Any ideas? Topics, length, techniques, etc? I'll be using some of the ideas I've learned here and expanding upon them. I'll probably also include specific examples that I've actually tried before. I remember seeing some mod's signature that said he wrote ebooks - any tips from whoever that was? I've written many before for clients, but never one for myself.

And no, of course I won't be selling it here. I'm not THAT dumb.

make every third link a dickroll!

But a good technique is making them think they have more than they actually have. (that is how value packs , 50% extra free etc works).. So make it a pack of books etc etc

Sure thing. In spite of WF's general bias, there is really nothing wrong with an ebook as a format. However there is so much competition from know nothing "Gurus", that you may have to give it away (stuffed with affiliate links) to make any money from it.

Think free or $1 ebook -> $79 ecourse or affilliate offer -> $39.95/month membership site and I might even sell a few for you.

I've been thinking about writing an ebook as well.... but I wonder if printing a real book would be better. I imagine the first buyers out there are the ones that steal your shit.

Or maybe there's a good secure way to distribute ebooks. I've tried ebook pro and it works good but only works on PC:

I would print the eBook as well, sell it for a higher price and offer both. There are some people who just dont think a book can exist if they cant hold it in their hands, youll grab that audience too.
