I'm in shock.. I can't believe my NJ Devils just blew a 3-2 lead in game 7 with under 2 mins left to lose 4-3 to those stupid fucking Hurricanes!

AAAAARGH!!!

I guess that's playoff hockey for ya..

Got to love the Southeast Conference. 2 teams in while the Atlantic and Northeast only send 1.

Of course, being a lowly Thrashers fan, I sit and watch your teams play.

It was a classic game thought Jon. Brodeur just missed that last deflected shot.

Fedorov still has zip left... That'll be a fun series to watch.... Was vs Pit... just what the NHL wanted

and yah, that was a tough loss for NJ, especially for brodeur

I couldn't give less of a shit about this series and either team, but man it turned out to be the best series in the first round.

Vancouver can beat Chicago. Especially with all the rest they've had.
They're too young a team. They needed to at least lose a game or two this series to keep them in line, they're going to go into this thinking they're invincible. That and if anything they've had too much of a rest.

They've gone downhill so much since they fired Brian Burke, who was the best GM they ever had. I really hope they win the cup, I just don't think they have the team to do it right now.

All that said, I really don't know much about Chicago, so they might be an equally young team (they do have the youngest captain in the league if I remember) so we'll see.

Blasphemy woman.

They got rid of Burke 5 frickin years ago. That's old news. How could they have gone anymore downhill than the Burke and Crawford years anyway?

They missed the playoffs in 2000, were blown out in the first round in 2001, blown out in the first round in 2002, blew a 3-1 series lead in the second round in 2003, lost in the first round in 2004... etc. A pretty bleak record to say the least.

I don't think Burke was all that great.

'Nucks all the way!

Jersey needs some help for Brodeur, they have an amazing goal-tender but the rest of the team is so-so..

I just felt bad that the 4th goal was pretty weak. And Ward was the only reason Carolina even had a chance at the end of the game.

Mitchell is a great defender, but he's not going to be able to stop Toews/Sharp/Kane. The series does have a good shot at 7 games though.
