I have a local internet connection broadband that I have set up with a router at home. When I switch it on, the router starts up. But when I need to access the internet, I first need to login the user name and password that my provider gave me. Can i bypass this? Coz if i want to play on my ps3, then I have to start the PC first. Same is with the case of my iPad. Its a hassle. How can i activate the net wifi to start as soon as I turn the router on?

I have Win7 running on all systems at home. Im assuming it has something to do with rasdial. Could someone explain?

See if you can enable PPPoE Authentication on the router/modem rather than on the PC.

You must contact any Network Senior who will guide you in detail , My internet connection is also same like yours , but i dont shut it off , even weeks of weeks . Theres some settings in the router page , but i dont know how to use it .

Why do you ever turn the router off?

So? People don't typically shut off their routers or computers, that's what standby is for. My computers don't get completely shut off unless I'm gone for weeks on holidays or something. You certainly don't need to turn off your router because you're leaving the house.

Who the hell turns of their router ANYWAY? Let alone when you're not in the house. What the hell?

LMAO ... Keys .. check. Wallet .. check. Turn router off ... check. WTF?

It seems to be a 3rd world thing. It sounds like he is from India going by some of his other threads. My wife has relatives in the Philippines and they always turn off the router to "save electricity" even though I set them up with U.S. VOIP phone service. It doesn't work most of the time when my wife tries to call because the router is usually off. I once asked about some cars driving with their headlights off at night there and I was told it was to "save gas".
