Everyone know spamming Craigslist works well (for certain offers)

I saw one job posting that actually looked pretty real but was actually an affiliate link to monster.

So what do you have to worry about when it comes to posting several messages on craigslist?

- How many messages can you post a day?
- Do they check by email? Do they let you post more if you "register"?
- Do offers work? (I almost clicked on the moster link)
- Do you use a software to post, or a service? (which one?)
- What should we all be looking out for?

FYI all Affiliate Networks love Craigslist traffic, absoulutely love it.:D

This is all pretty basic stuff when it comes to CL - I don't want to "advertise" any other forums, but pop over to some of the CL 'marketing' forums and you should get some decent beginner info.

But essentially:

1. Depends on a number of factors. How many accounts you have, what section, etc.
2. Yeah, you're not going to post 100 times a day with the same email. Depending on your angle and what sections you're interested in, you'll probably go the account route, though I do know a number of people that do just email posting and do pretty well.
3. Yes.
4. Depends on volume. Probably want to go with software, Kevin's easyad is the best.
5. What do you mean? If you mean staying within legalities / canspam, make sure every reply has the original inquiry message quoted.

CL seems pretty simple at the onset, but there are a lot of little details to account for along the way. Best way is to just jump into it though and learn along the way.

Good point, but keep in mind that some networks are semi-openly ok with it, while a lot of others employ a don't-ask-don't-tell kind of thing.

CL traffic is far from the worst backend-converting traffic around if it's done right.

Forget craigslist traffic, you will make a post and it will get flagged within an hour.

I heard in the past month or two they've changed up a lot of their system about posting multiple ads and what not.

EasyAdSuite is what you'll want. If you are serious about this, you'll pay the 400 dollars for it. I did all my posts manually, replied manually, and all that fun junk for about a couple weeks and was banking hard off of CL. If you know what you are doing and can figure out that software, you'll see the monies flyin in.

You'll need a shit load of IPs though depending on the volume you want to do. I only did a few a day in the higher paying niches, so I never really had to buy any, but you might be able to find some servers offering 100+ IPs for a few hundred a month.

so? make 2000 posts / day then. In some sections your post will have a lifespan of 15 minutes but with enough posts it will make you $xxx to $xxxx a day.

Well, it depends what you are doing. Some niches I took would stay up for a few days. What you can do is hold off on responding or using an autoresponder until say like, 12 - 24 hours after each post. Then, by that time you might have 100 or so responses and they likely won't quickly be able to click the back button to flag your post.

I'm currently doing some CL stuff, but not making a killing off it. A simple search for other CL marketing forums will give you more in-depth answers. There are a couple things they track automatically, and stuff the community police look for.

Craigslist automatically tracks the e-mail address, the IP you use, how similar your ad is with other ads. The community tracks for things that look spam-like and can flag you.

Use a different IP address and e-mail address every 5 posts. The title can be the same as other posts, but the body should be sufficiently unique. Using URL's in the body will drastically increase the chance that you will get flagged. Using certain keywords for the URL will auto-ban/auto-ghost you. I find it's better to use the URL displayed in an image, or auto-responder.

The community looks for random strings generated, or any other telltale flags of automated posting.

By following these simple steps, I can get at least 90% of my posts live for over 24 hours.

If several people are interested, I can write up a more detailed post.

What you are saying is general information for CL posters. It's like saying "download wordpress, blog about credit repair, and put credit repair links".

Worth $7 on DP in a zipped pdf titled "Make $1000 / day".

Maybe it's so all you worthless dickheads don't saturate CL even more than it already is with your spammy ads.

If you're not already in the game, prepare to spend a lot of money on proxies and ph verified accts.. Cuz you're gonna be killing em left and right.

You're like a year too late.

Oh yes. Of course. But if people are still doing it:
$100K Base Salary- Director of Area Development- Sales, Customer Servi

I just wanted to get the opinion of you's guys as to if you think it's do-able.

I had a friend that was legitimately trying to get multiple postings (rentals in NY for which you have to pay $10/post for) and he was having problems. And he wasn't spamming. The section was FOR what he was posting. He just had a lot of posts.

But I appriciate all the advice here. WF is always great for that even if you're asking a noob question.
