Im not sure this belongs to the newbie section, but ill post it here for now. Sorry for the long post, it could be shortened to " how do you get another website banned or heavily crippled in serps " but id like to explain the situation :
My company was hired by another company to create multiple websites related to the product they are selling. Each product targets a specific niche, in general most of the niche are not too crowded so ranking for them shouldnt be a problem.
After a little research i realised that for most of the keywords i was choosing, there was 1 website that consistently targeted the same keywords as me... Then while in a meeting, I was asked by the president of the company if there was a way for me to not only come on top of the competition, But effectively "killing" his main competitor ...
You see, apparently what happened is that one of the partners my client was working with got into a disagreement about 2 years ago, since then, the ex-partner went on and created a bunch of websites, he even registred some .com / .ca for names that were trademarked. Now legaly that person doesnt have the right to sell the product in real life because my client is the only authorized reseller in canada, there are some legal procedure that went on but they are taking for ever and ever. Apparently he get supplies from another reseller in other countries and sells them back on the web or something anyways, Which brings us to today, I now need to rank for most of the same keywords that the ex-partner is ranking for, and my client wants me to find ways to make him disapear because he is ruining the product image he is not conducting good business and he owns some of the trademarked names that my client should own...
I know blackhat can get you banned, what if i used blackhat on his website, but in a way that is very obvious and that google would pickup very easely ?
Anyone has ever done this ?
