Right, I am a complete noob when it comes to IM, I will admit that.

I have a new domain (31 days old), I am thinking of buying a 2.5k profile back-link xrumer service from here, is this likely to get me sandboxed?

If I did get sandboxed, how often do sites usually sit there?

Thanks

Forget everything you heard about sandbox! Its just not true any more. I created 1000 links for a new site (domain was about 4 days old) via mixed linkbuilding within 2 weeks. And I ran up the SERPs like crazy. Now I am #2 for my main key and thats about 7 month ago. So theres no sandbox any more.

Well, The site is 1 month old, has 77 indexed backlinks. I have ordered 2.5k profile links, lets hope the sandbox isn't real :p

So, if I understand correctly your saying that I need to keep building them constantly, and not just have a surge of links? What if this 2.5k profile links gets me to the #1 position, do I still have to keep building so google wont slap me?

Firstly, there is no set way to build links, it's always an evolving process and what works for one site may not work for another. I've seen sites do just what you said and come out well. I've seen others have none of those links be credited and indexed, and even their site permanently blacklisted in some cases.

Your link building strategy should be unique for each domain and what you hope to achieve. For instance, you wouldn't want to have the same aggressive link building for a client's website that you would for a test site you own.

To answer your question specifically, I'd play it safe. If you are getting those 2.5k backlinks all at once, I'd have another pushed for the following week, and each week after that until you get the keyword rank you want. Then, once you get it, taper it off by 200-400 links each of the following weeks until you are down to 0.

The rational behind this is that you are setting your velocity. If you do it once and stop, it's pretty obvious that you spamed for those links.

Right, thanks for the advice. I'm hoping that google wont find all the links at once anyway, and it may take a few weeks for them to get found. Never done link building on a big scale before, so no idea how long it will take for them all to get indexed.

I sent 2k links at a site everyday for the last 10 days to test and it jumped from nothing to 2nd page for main keyword then after a couple days is nowhere to be found. I'll let you know how it changes.

your initial blast should be ok as long as you get some other forms of linkbuilding going on. I've done 10k blasts at new sites and they havn't had problems. I'm barely a novice at this though so take anything I say with a block of salt.

This site isn't really a experiment though, If I get it sandboxed, and it stays there for too long, its going to be a BIG problem. :/
