I've recently become intrigued by affiliate marketing, hey I figure if i can make $100/day by doing not very much, and taking a few nice vacations, then what the heck...

I have no idea where to get started, should I buy something like Day Job Killer, or Google Nemesis, or something like that to get started? what do you suggest?

I would start by reading through the forums and gathering as much information as possible. Then I would suggest finding a product or service you want to promote. Once you have an idea about what you're promoting go get a website or a free blog and start understanding how SEO (search engine optimization) and PPC (pay per click) work and start driving traffic to your site. This isn't going to happen overnight. Your going to make many mistakes and will learn a lot by trial and error. Not every method works for every website. It's really up to you, to find a way to make your $100 a day. We can only offer suggestions that might work for you.
 
The key to aff marketing, is sitting in a dark basement with a bottle of vodka and a pack of smokes then just sit there and stare at DP, eventually some ebook will go up for sale and will have all the answers to lifes question and will contain ever nugget of info you will ever need all for the low price of $3.99.
 
Read this entire "Affiliate Marketing" forum...from its inception to today's posts.

I'm dead serious. It's more valuable than any e-book you will ever find.

I hope you're not serious? That's completely the wrong attitude to take. It sounds to me that you've sat staring at one too many e-book mini-sites.

You know the ones, with the oversized cheques of large denomination, and the guy reclining in a hammock with his laptop, somewhere in the Caribbean, being fed grapes by some gorgeous penis-sucking machine.....

If you are serious about making $100 a day get ready to WORK about 30 hour days.

Yes 30 hours a day.

$100/day by doing not very much - man, it sounds more like working 6 or more hours after your standard job, working on weekends, trying and failing and flushing money down the toilet

go to digitalpoint and buy some ebooks. this will at least help you throw away some money but it won't require you to work...
 
The more I learn about affiliate marketing, the more I wonder if affiliates don't get screwed by their advertisers. Two of the so called "top affiliates" I know (the ones who make 7 figure incomes) have about 100 web sites. The other thing is that 7 figure income is not what they take home, that's their gross income (income before expenses).
