Okay so here's the deal.

I've set myself up with a pretty good lead offer, created a landing page that converts pretty well, but am only getting a handful of clicks a day for the price I am bidding (around 15 cents a click).

My landing pages are very targetted to each ad group but I seem to only get mainly 'Poor' and a couple of 'OK' QS scores.

I'm thinking I should focus on some more longtails, but I don't quite understand whether this will really make my clicks cheaper.

For example if I bid on the longtail:

Funny Quotes about Animals and Horses

Wont I simply be paying the almost the same amount as someone who bids on

Funny Quotes

Seeing as (as long as it's set to broad) it will still return results for 'Funny Quotes about Animals and Horses'

I hope this makes sense, I just need some suggestions on perhaps how to get some of these cheap longtail keywords people are talking about.

Also is it better to set them to broad, phrase or specific (or whatever it's called)

Any help is appreciated.

Raise your bids.

You say the payout is good and you're only bidding around .15 cents a click. What position is your ad in?

In order to get a better quality score, you need to get a better CTR.

Come on dude, .15 cents per click isn't shit if the payout is anything.

The payout isn't that great it's just it's converting decently, if I could just get some more clicks around this price I'd be set.

I will however try increasing it (a little) just to see if my CTR increases.

Someone told me the other day that payout doesn't mean shit. You can make just as much profit on a $60/sale as you can on a $1/lead, just have to think outside the box and get the total cost sitting under total revenue.

Maybe take your campaign, analyze it, and find a similar offer that's got some more useful keywords and maybe change up your landing page (or run a duplicate site and compare the two strategies, etc.)

Don't be afraid to bid high.. I was paying $2.50 a click on Y! and still making around a 200% ROI.
