Good Article on The Endgame in Greece



I think when/if Greece leaves the Euro, it will prove to be a blessing for the poor/middle class of Greece.

The rich folks of Greece will get screwed. But I don't have a problem with that.

Not quite correct title!

It is not "endgame" at all, but a brilliant response from Greece government:
they are under economic siege, made serious concessions to European creditors;
but you know how a creditor use to play: "Pay me back my money or bust."

So Tsipras & all have avaliable a unexpected "grouping with Russia" card.
Good for them and for Greece citizens...

P.S. I have been many times in the creditor side, been unpaid also...
but never asked mine unlucky debitors to forget about eating so I got paid,
what the hell were you thinking?

greece was arguably better off before joining the union. where do you think did their relative wealth flow? they owe us nothing. we owe them. if we get rid of them now thats the best possible outcome for us.

it is really cute how these "experts" dont dare speak the truth. its an open secret that deutsche was involved heavily in manipulating the greek household so as to make them eligible for joining the union. in return they backloaded the contracts with financial products that would turn sour sooner or later. thats what banks do. do you people desperately cling to being stupid?

i dont know how to explain this in easy words, but if greece is worse off than it was before joining, there must have been value flowing out of the country. much like energy, value cant just evaporate, so where did it end up? make an educated guess.
 
Greece is a basket case because they refuse to stop borrowing money while pretending to be rich.

Tax collection in Greece is as bad as can be. Most want to pay less under the table. They should man-up and stop borrowing money from vultures.

Don't blame the Germans. They hate to borrow money and they save a lot of their earnings.

For we Americans, I am certain the day of reckoning is fast approaching for our debt. But why worry, most are busy admiring Kim Kardashians Butt to even know what is really going on.

So Greece can leave or stay, the economic fundamentals will not change that much.

Encourage free enterprise

Have a sensible tax policy

Crack down on corruption

Stop treating private business like a ward of the state through insane regulations.

This is like blaming the drug dealer for your addiction. Angel Merkel only did to Greece what Greek politicians allowed her to do.

This is like taking VIAGRA without reading the side-effects, and then when you start going blind you scream for help.

We humans need to take responsibility for participating in bad decisions. The people of Greece need to wake up and start acting like grown ups, instead of complaining about what others did to them.

You signed the agreement, you accepted the billions of dollars in aid, but you failed to implement the required financial adjustments to make it all work.

Stay or leave the Union, but stand up and take responsibility. Your state of affairs will not improve unless you institute hard and painful reforms to rein in govt spending.

So stop blaming the EVIL bankers. Blame your politicians and not the Germans.

Not completely accurate, for the rich are the politicians or are in touch with the policy makers.

The people that will suffer the most will be the poor and so called middle class. Changing monetary policy is not an easy thing to do.

What will you call the new bank notes?

What will the exchange rate be with other world currencies?

Will other financial institutions accept the new currency for payment?

Do you have any foreign reserves?

Initially you can manipulate the new currency to pay off your old debt, but expect the ravages of inflation to render Greece a hopeless basket case.

The new currency will not be worth the paper it is printed on, unless some of the required painful choices are adopted.

My PREDICTION:

Greece will not leave the EURO zone for both are stuck in a bad marriage with millions of kids to feed. More money will be given, and the day of reckoning will be postponed just a little bit.

Your infrastructure and resources are now completely controlled by foreign entities, so be prepared for some painful adjustments regardless of what the politicians are saying.

Germany will have to back off on this. Why? Because the alternative is just too scary.

- Golden Dawn, national-socialist(nazzi) party in Greece, have promised the same that Syriza was, but they are not joking. So if Tsipras fails, people will vote for them. People just dont give a fuck about politics, they want to eat and live without taxes. And trust me, Merkel does not want to see another instability on EU soil.

- Greece blocking EU sanctions on Russia, or blocking NATO interventions by veto. Yes, they can kick them out, but that will have consequences. Russia can give them money and Greece can say big 'fuck off' to EU.

Tsipras don't want his country to leave the union, but the alternative
(other than joining Russia) is more famine, more taxes...

as well as revealing himself as a liar, or worse,
another bureaucrat only thinking about his pluses and his own benefit;
same kind of politician as previous ones who downgraded Greek wellfare
just because "it seemed what we should do for a better future"...
what about today?

Vladimir Putin, by his side, can't be more happy than using Greece as
a Trojan Horse against the EU.

Russia wants Greece in the Euro zone. The Greeks are playing a game of chicken shit, and the bankers hold all the cards.

The country is beautiful as hell, but too much social spending is costing them true prosperity.

The politicians need to grow some giant "BALLS" and tell the people the truth. All the free shit cost money and the other EURO members are just tired of paying for them.

It's time to start manufacturing some real products, instead of consuming them like other African countries.

Play the game like the Germans do. Find several products you can make cheaply and through theft or cunning fight your way to dominance. It is a UNION, so there are some real advantages for countries with the insight to plan ahead.

thats what germany is known for after all. cheap knock-off products.

we could give those greek retards all the blueprints they want, they couldnt do a damn thing with it, because they have no factories and no factory workers. no infrastructure. no universities and no teachers.

the only way they ever made money was by being a holiday destination for germans. now they talked so much shit germans dont wanna go there anymore.
 
For anyone interested, the chapter on Greece in Michael Lewis' Boomerang is both hilarious and terrifying in equal measure, and gives a decent introduction as to how the Greeks got themselves into this mess.

That's the real problem. And the Greek voted for the current batch of imbeciles who thought playing chicken with the Germans would be a good idea.

I'm not saying the Germans are not assholes about money. But you expected something different? You look up "anal" in the dictionary and there's a picture of a German.
