Good Job, Houston.

When are cops going to stop smacking people around over minor traffic violations? Now they're creating international incidents.

Evading the police isn't a minor traffic violation. And his status doesn't give him the right to violate local laws when he's outside of the Embassy's premises. They should have not followed him in the garage, but in the heat of the pursuit (yes, even if it was at low speeds), it is a forgivable mistake to not realize a parking structure belongs to the embassy. It's not like in other countries where embassies get bombed regularly and they're all surrounded by razor wire fences and tank defense.

The guy deserved to get roughed up a little. He should have just stopped and explained his situation. He didn't though, because he needed to get to the embassy to be out of the jurisdiction of the local law enforcement since what he was doing was illegal in the jurisdiction where they first tried to (and had every right to) stop him.
