Good strategy games?

Forget GTA 5, I only play Civilization 4 (srs) and I don't care that it is 5 years old. I almost won on Monarch setting today.

Anyway, it is a bit outdated being 5 years old and all, so maybe some of you genius people can share some of the strategy/brainy games you are playing?

Before you say Civ 5, I've been told that it is dumbed down and I don't want a dumbed down civ game.

I would strongly recommend Crusader Kings 2. It is probably the most rewarding game I've ever played, and falls in the "grand strategy game" genre. Here was a thread talking about it earlier.
 
GTA 5 as a strategy game:
1. strategize how you're going to get shit done since it's out now.
2. attempt strategy before giving in and playing GTA5 for the day.
 
Yes Starcraft 2 is the bomb. It stresses me out though, people are too good at that game. I mostly play the custom games.

The new ladder system makes the game addicting as fuck and, before you know it, you'll be spending 8 hours a day on battle.net and watching shoutcasts during your free time just so you can improve your game.
