Google Affiliate Network

Our goal with Google Affiliate Network has been to help advertisers and publishers improve their performance across the affiliate ecosystem. Cost-per-action (CPA) marketing has rapidly evolved in the last few years, and we’ve invested significantly in CPA tools like Product Listing Ads, remarketing and Conversion Optimizer. We’re constantly evaluating our products to ensure that we’re focused on the services that will have the biggest impact for our advertisers and publishers.

To that end, we’ve made the difficult decision to retire Google Affiliate Network and focus on other products that are driving great results for clients.

We’ll continue to support our customers as we wind down the product over the next few months. And there are other products that can help you achieve your goals. Affiliate publishers can continue to earn AdSense revenue through the AdSense network. And marketers can take advantage of other CPA-oriented Google tools like Product Listing Ads, remarketing and Conversion Optimizer to drive valuable online sales and conversions. These areas are growing rapidly and we’re continuing to invest heavily in them.

Thanks for your support of our affiliate product, and we look forward to helping you grow your business in the future.

Affiliate Marketing is dead.

Google Affiliate Network??? Never even heard of it before, but then again I dont care much for affiliate networks.

Isn't it the second time they're shutting down?

Interestingly enough, I met someone about 3 weeks ago who continuously raved about GAN and how he has been minting big dollars primarily. I wouldn't have bothered about it all, but he did keep mentioning "exclusives" etc.

That very same guy is getting married in 2 days. I can only wonder how this will affect him. :P

Well, first of all he will have to start washing dishes and limit himself to one pussy for the next 2 years before he discovers he's a weak character and cheat on his wife. Then he will cheat again, but this time he will have moral views backing his unfaithfulness. When his wife cheats on him he will discover his moral code applies to him but not to his wife, he will divorce her. Luckly for him he will have no money to share with her after divorce, as GAN is dead.

Remember when you said that every post was a milestone for you. You were so right, good sir! I'll make sure this exit strategy has been conveyed to him at the very earliest.

I heard they represented some big brands at one point.

How do you come up with such profound statements such as this?

Google hates affiliates so much that they have finally banned themselves.

They probably realized that a lot of people need to run an affiliate network.

They will let others to do the dirty job.

Or, if they have the technology, they will integrate affiliate marketing to adsense program.

That will be an interesting move.

I was part of their affiliate network for over a year, but recently started to apply for a few campaigns. None of them replied back and the system automatically cancel my requests.
