Algorithm change launched

“we’re evaluating multiple changes that should help drive spam levels even lower, including one change that primarily affects sites that copy others’ content and sites with low levels of original content.”
what do you think about that?, my suggest is protect your website now from a copy paste guy, or your site rank will down and maybe gone from G engine...i don't know yet about seo work for a site that only have 1 article (static site) is it change or not...let's see

Ps : and again, sorry for my bad English

their change is supposedly going to stop aggregators/scrapers/autoblogs. Who knows really, there are a variety of uses for autoblogs other than ranking with the articles they scrape

BTW, from goodle's adsense blog January 11, 2011

We don’t allow sites with auto-generated or otherwise unoriginal content to participate in the AdSense program. http://adsense.blogspot.com/2011/01/adsense-facts-fiction-part-v-unoriginal.html

Yeah, people are worried about losing the value of their websites with scraped content, but just rank higher and your content will be considered unique, so I have been hearing.

yeah i agree, and i think if someone copied your content, G will think your content are not unique too and will put your site into bad place?

some of my friends who join on Seo contest are so worried now, because if someone copied their contest's article, their rank will down,,,

Well if that change goes through get ready for a billion more people complaining about getting sand-boxed, pretty much don't even put your site online without at least 20 pages of unique content.

In a way I think changes such as this are a great way to help kill all of my competition but in another way I think its a pain in the fucking ass when launching a new site.

If you really have unique content on a good clean site, do basic seo, you have nothing to worry about. Google is pretty good at figuring out the original source of articles/content.

I bet you BlackhatWorld is shitting in their pants right now.

I was just on there the other night to see if they noticed anything! Obviously the smarter dudes who are also members here and at Syndk8 were amongst the first to chime in about it. But its not BH SEO's that are getting all nervous, its the WH SEO's that are running around like a chicken with no head over this. (because most of those seo 'consultant' fuckfaces outsource their shit to BH SEO's or Indians anyway)

I just recently took on a pro-bono project with a not-for-profit, and overnight they went from hero back to zero for all of their local keywords and now seeing some real hurt on their major ones.

Google isn't tough to figure out. Especially when they start dropping hints. Take it lightly. After all these years, the rule of thumb is when Google starts dropping hints and information, its usually bullshit and misdirection. Links make the world go round. Content is only necessary to keep people sticking around, but links have always, and will always (for Google at least) be the backbone of ranking and trust. Its just how they roll y0.

Moar troof in this statement than every SEO ebook compiled.
