Google Sets Shutting Down



I've been seeing this question popup in almost every SEO community I participate in. "Are there any good alternatives to Google Sets?"

Well, I'd feel like a hero if I had arrived at the answer on my own, but a fellow named Ben discovered that you can use a simple Google Docs spreadsheet to pull data from Google sets.

I thought it was so useful that I wrote a blog post about it with instructions:

They've decided to stop wasting resources on "cool" projects and decided to focus on shit that makes money.

I think someone at Google recently got bought a book about the pareto principle... Although in Google's case it's 99/1.
 
Google is set to announce a new product that is coming out of their googleX research program before the end of the year. I have a feeling they are gearing the company up for that.
