You've heard it here first: Google is up to something new. I'm not sure what it is, but I think that brighter minds here on WF would be able to make some money off of it and would appreciate the advanced notice 
I saw this today
Its an ad, formatted with a survey overlay on top of it. When you click on an answer, the overlay goes away. This is reminiscent of the FB thumbs up/down function. Note that it says 'insights by Google' rather than ads by Google. My own opinion is that its absolutely stupid asking people to vote on an ad, but who knows, maybe this is an avenue for decreasing your CPM by upvoting your ads.
Clicking on the 'Learn More' link at the left lands you at Google Surveys
You can see that it mentions the name 'Google Surveys' and is clearly labeled as a pilot in the URL. The wording on the page actually implies that the survey was commissioned by the advertiser... which sounds a bit strange, but you can make your own conclusions. The advertiser in the pic is Canadian Tire (a large hardware store chain here in Canada).
