Google to display 30 results per page

I doubt that it will be 30 results per page. People can already list 100 results per page if they want too. What's the need to make 30 standard?

If it does happen, I still see the top 10 results being prime real estate. How many people would scroll, scroll, scroll to find a result if the top 10 look useful? Also, I see a lot of my sites getting a big traffic boost if people do scroll since I control nearly all of the first two pages for a fair number of my niches.

They might do scrolling 30 results. Like Facebook feed. When you get close to the bottom, more results load in via AJAX. I'm surprised they didn't do it 3 years ago.

The facebook like scrolling wouldn't bother me too much but I can still see it devaluing rankings that are 9 or 10 on the page. In the same instance I personally think it's a good thing to give more options.

i'm a huge fan of the search bar on the bottom of the page. sometimes by the time i scan 10 results, i've figured out a better search phrase. i turned off instant the day it rolled out.
