I've heard yes, what good is wave if you have no contacts to communiate with.

I dont even have Google Voice yet..

I think Google sends the invites to gmail users that don't use other services, like webmaster, adsense, etc.... only want the less tech savy people to see how much they use it etc .

one of my roomates already has google voice and all he used google for was gmail, I requested google voice the first day we could of and still have nothing

Holy shit, the invites are selling for $200? I signed up early and have had a wave developer account for a while. It's pretty cool, but a little unstable.

Invite sent to me yesterday, just arrived this morning. Looks pretty cool so far but, with only one person in my contacts to "wave" with, it's not very useful, yet.

It's giving me 8 invites... who wants it!?
