Green market in France

Hi there,

I'm quite new on WF so here is a little introduction.

I'm from France and I'm actually building a website/forum about green wave in France and ecology.

So I'm waiting for 1000visits a day on the forum after 1month launch.

The forum is nearly ready and I just have to solve the AM issue.

1- I'm french and there will only be french members on the forum
2- I want to advertise on green products : soap, seeds ...

So, where could I find this kind of products ? I searched a lot and did not find.

Hope you can help me ?

It gives you a list of CPA offers for France. Maybe you can find something in there that is suitable for your traffic. You need to signup for an account to see the list of offers.

Edit : :( there's quite nothing written in french and really no green products
 
I'm wondering if it's possible to advertise green products because on every french green website I'm looking, their only oncoming is Ads by Google

@ thebigspender : already saw that website but I didn't know they had an AM service.
Didn't understand what is the goal of a 'premium membership'. I mean I don't want user to pay to subscribe or have the right to access hidden categories.
I want to share eco knowledge with everybody. Seen ?
 
You were basically trying to find ways to monetize your traffic and premium membership is always an option for forums, got it?

The sources provided above should get you busy already. You can also contact local french retailers and offer advertising spaces.
 
Day 1 :

So as some of you said, I tried to contact several green products company in France asking them if they have an AM program.
Had one reply for the moment from a big company which was ready to be affiliate with me. So here I go : I'm affiliate with someone and will choose several products to advert on my website / forum.

About the forum : I'm on a Simple Machine/SMF forum and quite at ease with that.
I wanted to create a ultra targeted system for each of the pages or categories on the forum.
I mean for example : One page is talking about ecologic soap > I want then to create an advertisment with those keywords : Ecologic/Soap/Oil.
An other page talking about inside growing > create one advertisment with keywords : Lamps / Fertilizer...

Questions :
How could I manage to do that ?
Are there other things I could do to get more income ?

No one cares about daily progress updates regarding your newbie website.

As for your questions: Look into plugins for your forum software. There should be apps available to help you manage your advertising.

There are a hundred things to do to increase your income, your number one goal should be getting traffic to the forum and making sure there are lots of active threads. Worry about monetizing more after that.
 
install openx to serve banners

get your ass working because building a forum with smf, phpbb or any other ready script is easy, getting real members to post is damn hard so before you worry about how to laser target every ad view, work to get someone on the boards

zanox and tradedoubler should have merchants with green products

I'm workin hard on my boards to get a targeted public with keywords... on each pages. That's huge work (didn't think it was)

Don't know openx and will search for that. Moreover : zanox and tradedoubler must have english green products. I'm searching exclusively for french ones.

tradedoubler and zanox have products for most european markets, by global and local companies: finding french merchant shouldn't be a problem. Probably you won't find a "green products only" merchant but you can probably select products from different big stores

I can't help you build traffic to a forum, I failed twice at it

To attract people you have to offer them premium content. Nobody will stay or post on your forum just because it has a nice domain. So start posting very good content and then advertise. Check what people are looking for (green market related) with adwords keyword tool and try to offer solutions. Build a fun page on Facebook, start twitting.
 
Ok so I'm going to setup a Facebook and twitter account.

Don't know how could I offer a premium content because it's just information and got nothing to offer in more.
Moreover I don't want people to buy something on my forum (100%free) but just attract them with green products.
