Hi all,

You probably have seen the news that groupon went public with its stock offering Friday.

Since I know a lot of readers like to make quick cash, I was wondering if you would help me with a decision. I may short this one....

Is this a turd going down in your opinion? Thanks
 


I think long - term groupon will fail unless it makes some major changes. The "idea" behind it is a good one, they just suck at doing it. I have read something like 90% of all business owners that participate in a groupon will never do it again.

If you look at one metric to judge Groupon, I would say the fact that 9/10 of their customers will not be repeat customers. Sounds like a big fail to me.
