FuCK fathers day, its just another commercial holiday created as an excuse to go out into stores and spend money.

I hate all these "so called" holidays, its like every month there is 3 or 4 days that we need to go out and buy gifts, buy flowers, buy cakes....WTF

- birthdays, american holidays, religious holidays, State holidays....the list goes on and my wallet gets empty every single time.

I AM A FATHER OF 3 AND DONT NEED A SPECIFIC DAY TO FEEL ALL WARM AND FUZZY, I FEEL LIKE THAT EVERY FRICKIN DAY!!!!!!!

Congratulations!!

You either have robots for children, or you are simply the greatest parent on earth.

Not everyday is warm and fuzzy with kids and to indicate otherwise would belittle the actual effort and hard work that goes into being a good parent. If it was simply warm and fuzzy all the time, it would indicate that any inbreed fucktard could breed and be a good parent. The fact is, it isn't so; just take a look around you and you will see that this is true.

If you do actually feel warm and fuzzy everyday, it may indicate one of two things:

You are the greatest parent on earth. In history. Eva!! Just tell me and I'll believe you.

That, or:

You need to put the drugs and alcohol away...period!!

There are lots of warm and fuzzy moments and even the odd day but to indicate to people that are not parents that it is warm and fuzzy all the time is an act of pure and utter bullshit. Being a mother or a father is the most rewarding experience in life. It is also quite possibly, the biggest challenge in life.

I cant cant comment much on how it feels to raise a kid but I absolutely agree that being a parent is the most rewarding experience in life.

If you have gone 24hrs without a single second, minute or even hour appreciating your kids and admiring the mental and physical beauty that they are...

Then you sir had 4 accidents.

Life is too short to regret the actions of your penis.

Not a day goes by that I dont get all warm and fuzzy inside thinking about my 3 beautiful kids. Sure there are days when I whoop their butts for acting out of line, I do get stressed at some of their decisions and actions but chances are a few hours later I am overcome with love.

I am the teacher they are the student, and some days they are the teacher and I am the student.

I have 3 little girls so you could probably imagine the relation of daddy and daughter. I have friends with sons and they do seem more stressed.

When my girls turn 18 they will go off to college, meet a young man and get married. Everyday gets harder and harder thinking about that day I have to give them away and with that in mind I make sure that everyday is WARM-N-FUZZY!

So F off dude and enjoy the only day that you get to feel warm-n-fuzzy

Father of a 10-month old.

He just got a flu this weekend (and is teething), so we spent it pretty sleepless.

@oldgym:

Chill out. I think what learning curve meant was that not every day is beautiful roses with the little ones.

And there is no shame in admitting that.
Some days you are full of worries (a few weeks ago, ours spent days vomiting, lost weight and had a fever ... the doctor visits included one emergency on a Sunday), on others, the little brats just annoy the heck out of you, or give you one near heart attack after the other.

What I agree with you on is that every day has at least one moment of joy.
When they smile full of joy upon seeing you, when they make happy baby speeches to themselves or one of their toys, the laugh (oh, the laugh) , and sometimes when they are finally, finally(!!!), sleeping peacefully.

So happy father's day. It might be stressful at times, but it is always worth it.

Just to be the better man I have deleted what I wrote originally.

We are not going to see eye to eye. I deal in reality...you in fantasy. End of discussion.

I appreciate you being the BETTER man and ending a discussion on an insult.

Congrats everyone. It is a commercialized holiday but the feel good should still feel good any day of any year.

@emp hold that boy close and relish every moment. Funny how the diapers, midnight feedings, burping, teething, generally leaking all over you can be a pia at the moment but you miss it later.

Happy Conception Day Everyone!
