Happy New Year WF:

I'd just like to wish each and every one of you a very happy new year. May 2014 be prosperous & bring you many smiles, much happiness and peace of mind.

  • Argue less on the trivial matters and focus more on what really matters but please don't lose the drama and banter that we've all had - 2013 was a great year in many ways.

  • Be kind and gentle to those who are worse off than you. Be kind and gentle to those who are better off than you too. It costs nothing after all and you will likely get further in life as a result.

  • Respect everyone for what they are - that is up to you as a person do decide, but please take into account that your perception may be terribly wrong at times.

  • Take good care of the things that are valuable to you but never lose sight of what "value" really means.

  • Do not make enemies. Certainly do not make enemies in your family or much-loved friends. You may not have realised, but we only have a finite time to live. Be under no illusion - it is very short. You will feel upset when you work out that you can't undo things in real life. Life is precious and you cannot reverse time. (unless you can of course - in which case wtf are you doing here?)

  • Focus on your strengths and make the most of them. For a great deal of you your strengths will far outweigh your burdens and weaknessnes if you focus.

  • Believe in yourself: Regardless of your professional field you personally know you will be fine... you will create your own survival mechanism in the big ocean.

  • Listening is better than speaking. Unless you have something valid to say listening and learning is hugely more beneficial than speaking loudly.

  • Don't get greedy. Ever.

It's just gone 9pm here in London so not quite new year yet - and I apologise for the early thread, but I'm going to go enjoy a beer with my bros (I don't really drink) and wish you all the best.

I salute you all. Thanks for an excellent 2013 on WF. :)

My best years all around are EVEN years for some weird reason, maybe because I was born in an even year, 1964.

I'm not in the least bit superstitious, but I can't deny the data of almost half a century.

May everyone have a prosperous and fulfilling new year!!

P.S. Some of you know that I was in a head on car collision at 45mph back in November of 2011 and I no longer have any balance. I fall into walls & shit and can't drive a vehicle anymore either.

So, every year since the accident is GRAVY for me since I didn't die!!
