interesting idea and thanks for the post.

i might be a little reluctant to publish my early stages ideas on the internet for everyone to see...but if i had no other option and was desperate for funding, i would consider it

no problem, this is definitely not for everyone. The only reason I applied is because my site is already a bit established (5k members) and is ranking in the SERPS for the target keyword, but needs a bit of an investement.

For completely non-developed ideas this may not be the best route for sure

by the way this is a good source of info on start-ups too

I've been looking at these types of sites too. Not to secure investment but to spark up some ideas.

500 startups is another one...

I've also applied to kickstarter.com but they told me to feck off. They have sort of a strange selection process, but seem to have a good group investors.
Think they're best thing around for projects related to arts though... technology not so much
