I'm going to launch a service based web site in the new few weeks. Since it's knew I have 0 traffic so I need sales. I know a little about online advertising but because the site is so new, I can't dedicate enough time to promoting and advertising the site that I need to.

Is there an affiliate program out there that caters to product/service providers. Where I give them what ever marketing material they need (banners/text ad verbiage, etc etc) and they use that to market my services and I pay them a commission on sales? As an incentive, I don't want to do one time payouts but a flat % of what ever I charge the customers they bring in. So if a lead converts into a member, I pay the affiliate a % of what ever I charge that new member until they cancel my service.

if only there was some type of company that acted like hmmm maybe a middle man for you? providing some type of relationship and tracking software to recruit "affiliate marketers" to market your service and then you could pay that company and they could make sure they pay the affiliates who generate the sales.

I bet for providing this service they could even take some type of margin? HMMMM that sounds profitable... if only there was such a service out there.. I would totally start one of my own but i smoke too much weed.. i might even make the name short like 3 letters and use the word CPA in there some where like OMG-CPA-titanium yeah that sounds cool.

lol'd

I don't think such a place exists but it wud b kool.

*If you're doing servicing it will be harder for you unless you charge upfront for the servicing not post completion. Nobody will market for you only to wait until you finish the job, chase the invoice, get paid, and pay your network/affiliates... But to answer your Q - yes, this whole board has the power to purchase a good chunk of the interwebz ad inventory at any given moment = creating you xx,xxx sales a day if it's profitable for them too.

Since it's a service, affiliates wouldn't have to wait up front for there money. I offer a 30 day trial period so after 30 days, if they still stay signed up the affiliate gets paid. If they continue to be a member, the affiliate continues to get paid.

If this whole board has the power to help me. Help me get the help of this board. What do I have to do to really make my site affiliate friendly?

As for bigb3433... Dude I know you where being sarcastic but YES DAMNIT, YES, THATS THE COMPANY THAT I NEED! Dude, give me a company name, who's doing that?!?! Your sarcastic description was exactly what I was hoping thats out there. WHERE DO I FIND THAT COMPANY?????

Why not use affiliate program.. you can build email list..

to free way you can use article.

Stick around and keep reading you've kinda sorta stumbled upon exactly what you need, and you're kinda sorta being a noob about it. My way of sayin' you should kinda sorta be careful because this leaves you vulnerable/fresh meat for shady networks, watch for PM's ;) The one month wait will be a bitch for (most) marketers but affiliates just want conversions and fast payouts at the end of the day, so if your offer DOES convert and you have proof (in a month or two), you'll get aff's easily and or your network of choice will hunt for you.

*Also, I admire you being careful not to drop your links/start recruiting and promoting yourself here blindly or aggressively, you'll see it's a quick way to get burnt.

Thanks for the help. I found these guys...

ShareASale

And they do exactly what I need. I make the ads, pay them and they take there cut and pay my affiliates who promote my services.

p.s. The trial period is kind of a catch 22. It's good for subscribers so they don't get burned but it's bad for affiliates because they have to wait a full month to get paid so I don't really know how to keep both parties happy and have neither one get burned.

Have you heard anything about these guys or know of any other providers like them?

thanks for the help ncmedia. See, thats exactly what I mean. I'm a total noob to all of this. I know if I just throw money at the first shinny thing I see, I'll get burned. I learned that one the hard way when I bought shit clicks from miva a few years ago instead of using first tier ppc engines. Do you know of any kind of company that I can buy legit traffic from? Just incase the third party marketing company doesn't pan out. Also, is that a good idea? I've seen a few of them online and the amount of traffic they promise for the low amount of money they ask for makes me think it's nothing but a blend of fake clicks and domain typo traps.

granted i was being a dick but to help ya out what your looking for is an "affiliate network" do a search on here and you'll see a lot of them and the owners have accounts here. they'd be the ones to talk to if you want to negotiate any type of deal to get affiliates to run your service.

you can also get on Affbuzz.com - Affiliate Marketing News & Blog Aggregator a lot of them have blogs and those are listed on there too.
