I'm just wondering if everybody here is running their aff business as a corporation. I have incorporated, and I'm the president. heh-heh :Yahoo_29:

Once you hit a certain income, it's probably a good idea to look at what structure you wish to run. LLC is pretty easy and it has some benefits for one-man shops. If you're doing anything that could get you sued for any substantial amount of money, its a pretty good idea to incorporate. Lot more to it than that, but you get the idea.

got 2 s corps looking possibly of setting up 1 or 2 more for different ventures. It's really a good idea to isolate you high risk activities. For example I have 1 corp for my affiliate network, 1 corp for my affiliate business. I'm looking at setting up another one as an advertiser. Because if one gets sued then it's protected from the others it's cheap insurance if you ask me :)

I have 4 right now. 1 for clients, 1 for AM, 1 for my own products, and 1 for my new upsell company.

Like Smaxor said, its best to isolate the various things you are doing. While the added paperwork can be a pain, it is definately worth it in the long run.

Also, if you ever have any problems with one of your companies, that won't affect the reputation of your other ones.

You should be able to get an LLC or S-Corp setup for just a few hundred bucks. Once you've done one, its a pretty easy process to do more.

Mine are all s-corps actually. I believe that an LLC requires less paperwork, but there are some negatives to it.

Its best to get an accuntant and have them decide for you. Everyone's situation is different.

I get my corp's from kansas... why you ask?

Because you can purchase them without identifying yourself... and just make yourself treasurer of the company when you need a bank account.

Yes, I have incorporated... in Peru.
A beautiful experience, indeed, not I have to send a tax return every month.

I saw an article on escape artist .com that was talking about how you can basically.. live in the US, incorporate in the UK (or some other european country), have your hosting in Panama or wherever and somehow you end up not owing taxes.. I gotta find that fucking thing I hate paying taxes.
