For all you guys and gals that are full time affiliate marketers who/where and how do you go about going a good price on health insurance?

As some who is just self-employed in general look at NASE (Something like National Association of the Self-Employed). You can join them and get health insurance. Also look at a local large chamber of commerce.

I have my own indiv family policy, not through a local chamber or assoc.

1 very important thing is deciding your deductible. Me and my family have no health issues and we took a 500 deductible, 80/20 plan and we pay out almost $1k a month in health insurance ( we get to write it off the business though ) through Anthem.

After paying this for almost 2 years, I started shopping around at ehealthinsurance and other places and we could get a $300 a month plan if we took a $2500 deductible 80/20 package as well with Anthem or Humana One

Some say its as far as it is long, but you really need to look at your current health situation and the last 2 years of medical bills and see if you really go to the doctor a lot or not.

My kids dont have medical issues, but they get the routine amount of ear infections, colds, flu's, childhood problems and none of them meet their $500 deductible last year. I could have been better off on the $2500 deductible plan for $300 a month.

Do you mean you need fast and free health insurance quotes? :banana_sml:

If you are young and healthy, it won't cost that much anyway.

You might consider an HSA plan if you want to be able to control costs and build your retirement plan at the same time with any left over money.
They come with 2 parts - a higher deductible major medical policy AND a tax advantaged savings account (which earns interest sometimes). These are great, but only work if you are a discipined saver.

If you want something simple that you don't need to worry about, consider a PPO.

This explains types of plans - HMO, PPO, HSA, etc.

Be wary of any "limited benefit plans" - you will be sorry if you have do have to make a big claim. Look for real major medical and up the deductible if you need a cheaper premium.

And yes, before I got into the wonderful world of affiliate marketing, I did time as a health agent.
