I normally don't pimp charities, but a friend of mine is getting hands on with something. He is doing something really special for a group of about 64 kids in Costa Rica. Any money is going directly to kids who have come out of the closest thing that I believe is hell: incredibly abusive households.
I donated a little, but if some of you guys can chip in, it'd help a lot.

I can vouch that not one penny will go to anything other than the materials the kids need.

PM me for the paypal account. If you want to bitcoin donate, that is acceptable also (it'd be a bit of work for me, but I'd do it) - If you are in Costa Rica and want to donate the materials directly, I can hook you up with my buddy. There are 8 houses with about 8 kids in each one, they have all been taken out of abusive households and about 60% of the kids are special needs and have urinary incontinence issues. Like most of these children's homes they need to get their vitamins which usually comes in the form of a shake type supplement similar to Ensure.
Their playground is also in rough shape in quite a few places and pose a risk to the kids in a couple places (exposed screws, rusty nails, hooks etc) and they are missing nets off their Soccer and Basketball courts. One thing that stood out for me was that the baby swings looked like torture devices, since there was only a couple babies I went ahead and got replacements today out of pocket. We are shooting to fix the rest of the playground by mid January and hopefully one day of reaching our goal of keeping these kids supplied with dry diapers and a healthy diet year round.
On top of the playground we are going to renovate for them and in my opinion the most important part of this drive here is what the kids need on a monthly basis:
7 Large cans of PROTEINEX ( Vanilla Only)
2 Large Cans of ENTEREX
1 Large Cans of DUOCAL
I can vouch that not one penny will go to anything other than the materials the kids need.
