yep, false reports. someone might've put themselves in harms way with some of these

Hopefully they were smart enough to use a proxy, or a public computer. Or a proxy, from a public computer... now that's what I call an exit strategy.

Fucking hell. I can see sending a bunch of crap to the kid's house, but they had people driving in from 100+ miles away to "get a broken xbox", reporting him to immigration, sending recruiters to his house, scheduling taxis and rental cars to come pick him up, etc.

A bit of overkill, but still amusing.

this

just a bunch of punks going way, way too far.

if this happened to my kid, heads would roll.
since it's getting so much attention, chances are good heads are going to roll regardless.
the 'harmless internet bashing' line was crossed many times, esp. the craigslist and immigration bullshit.

and shame on ya'll for supporting damned dangerous stuff like this.

put yourself in his shoes.
put your child in his shoes.
even if he did rip someone off with fake nikes, this is insane.
don't they know the internet is serious business?

what happened to a good ol' fashioned ass kickin?
