High Click through rate with low convert

Hi, I have a stupid dump newbie question need to solve. I am doing PPC with some dating offer through my landing page. And got the keyword list from my buddy, which I was told all this keyword should able to convert lead. I am split testing on 2 LP with all different offer.
For a over night testing I found around 300 click to my landing page. More than 200 click through the offer page. This is around 60% click through rate, and I think is excellent. But the problem only 1 lead converted.

PPC spend = $70 I earn $5:repuke:

This is really crap.

Anyone have some experience with this ?:bowdown:
 


Maybe the traffic source is shit.
All my competitor bid on those keyword. If my traffic is shit, other people won't really bid on it.

maybe your landing page isn't that awesome and isn't converting well for you

Yea I already think of this problem, But if my LP is really shit. People won't click through my offer. Because the bottom to the offer page on my LP wasn't that big and easy to click on it. That's the reason I split test my LP as well.
 
if there clicking threw to offer, your LP is doing its job. Maybe your pre-sell sucks and they think its something different then the offer.

Maybe you just haven't come up with anything yourself so it is sucking.

split test other offers there are a billion dating ones out there.. either your offer sucks or as said above you LP could just suck at pre-selling..
 
Not sure why. But i just do those popular offer. like singlen@t, perfectm@tch , m@tchmaker,m@atch.
 
I tested again today, with some new KW that i got from some other niche, it seems that not my LP problem.

Today I spend $65 and I got $62

I think your landing page is not so good to convert. Can you post your landing pages link so that I'll suggest you. I am not an expert on PPC but i have a good Expertise on PPC.
 
Chances are the keyword list is generic in purpose. If you expect money down you need to work on keywords where someone is likely to be motivated with cash in their hands. If it's a free offer then you use different keywords.

Have a look through your PPC campaign and if your offer is not a free one go through your campaign and remove the relevant keywords. Also put in some negative keywords to keep out the tyre clickers or those who are not likely to spend money, yeah this takes practice. Don't forget to also geotarget if the offer is only for US traffic don't waste your money getting the ad in front of people from any other country.
 
A bigger problem I see is you had no idea what the problem was.

You should have systems in place to know where the issue is.

Beef up on the understanding of metrics and testing.
