by accident, i stumbled across a keyword that seems to provide you with a high qs in adwords for a lot of "credit card"-keywords.
the keyword is "reward program".
i have a page running that has a 4.3% high density for "reward program".
there are no cc-offers on this page or anything that would relate to it.
however, adwords proposed a lot of ccard words and phrases when i did setup a campaign to target that page. i initially thought, that i made a fault when typing in the target-url, but as it turns out i didn't. adwords obviously proposed it, because a lot of ccards are advertised with reward programs.
now it turns out, that i get terms like "citi credit card" for $0.10 AND adwords says "high" for the qs. i have had this site up for 24 hours, have gotten decent traffic and no punishment although the google qs bot visited my site for all 100-something credit card words i had booked for a non-credit card site.
i am not utilizing this keyword at the moment, so i hand it over to you to see, whether you get the same results and can make some money from it. i have not dared to alter the page into something ccard related as this is simply NOT what i want to target on my site
but what i learned is, that the adwords qs-algo probably has a cool bonus-system embedded, where you get almost invited to target a broad range of keywords if you got that one keyword, that stands for that particular keyword realm, right and optimized.
so, i learned to listen very properly to the suggestion that adwords makes after analyzing your site for the first time (right after you submit your first adcopy).
has anyone else ever experienced this?
is this total newbie luck or unsystematic coincindence?
