So, I've noticed recently that many arbi sites on Adwords seem to have the same template. Initially I thought they must be by the same person but after digging around it turns out that they're Hitfarm templates. Until today, I'd never heard of Hitfarm!

For the people who don't know, they are a parking service (but with high payouts, apparently).

Now, this is the interesting thing. A lot of the sites seem to be featuring highly on adwords - are these templates getting around the quality score? I admit I can't see how (unless they're cloaked) as they have no or little content and just have a couple of frames. Very odd.

You need at least 5000 daily uniques (across portfolio) to be a member and $10k in monthly revenue - I don't have 5000 uniques yet so can't test it. Tempted to try it when I do though..

I'm curious about that myself. There's nothing in the TOS to say you can't but I've emailed them to see what they say. The amount of sites on adwords with this system seems to say that they allow it.

He is doing that with .info too. So he must be doing this for tons of niches. Seems like it could be quite profitable. I have found that parking services actually have very high payouts. On sites of mine that I park, I am amazed to see the CTR's and the payouts are sometimes over 1.00 per click! So this could be a great find.

Argh.... I hate this stuff. My Yahoo Search ads show up here as search ads, and I am paying a search premium rather than a content price, when this is very clearly not a specific search.

I blogged about it a few weeks back - When is search marketing not really search marketing (if you care to read the whole rant)

That aside, if you are in arbitrage, this makes sense for several reasons.

a. You dont have to worry about your adsense or YPN accounts getting banned, heck you probably can click on your own ads a few times a month without worry.

b. HitFarm is going to have a much higher payout than you alone are ever likely to negotiate.

c. The landing page actually meets Google's landing page criteria so is probably not getting a negative penalty, it is a complete site, has links to other related pages, has a contact us link etc.

d. don't have to worry about hosting, bandwidth, uptime etc - they will make sure you are up and make sure your links are relevant. They probably will also optimize based upon what is getting clicked etc.

e. With adwords, the URL is far more important than the .com, so go get a Dot Anything with the exact keywords you are looking for and the bolding will increase your CTR and quality score thus lowering your costs.

f. you do not have to worry about getting smart priced.

g. screw content, just be good at driving traffic

It is almost as if I am talking myself into this....

25 minimum domains per the application and then they say this.

We have a review process for potential Hitfarm clients to determine if they are eligible. Please note that we do have a minimum requirement of 5,000 uniques per day and a minimum monthly revenue of $10,000 (USD).

So if you have a good portfolio, looks like the $$$ is there.

I find it kind of dumb that they would not take every domain under the sun. It's just free cash to them.

Got this email from them. Man are they strict. I have the domains, but definitely not the revenue. If I did, why would I need them...

Thank you for your interest in Hitfarm. We are currently taking only
clients that meet our eligibility requirements.

Its like pussy, it is the quality not the quantity.

Do you really want 500 ugly ho's calling you asking where their $200 check is each month?

Or would you rather have 10 really hot chicks that don't care if you call or not, just as long as the checks don't bounce?

i know aaron samsonoff well... he's BIG.

i hear hitfarm is not accepting anyone anymore.

Is he 'big' in many areas? According to samsonoff.com he does:

"e-commerce, affiliate marketing, advertising sales and advertising arbitrage"

Is he 'big' in all these areas?

(I have no idea why I want to know this - it'll serve me no purpose!)

JeremyL - I want to be a domainer too! It's the part of internet er, moneymaking, to coin a phrase, that I know the least of yet is ironically one of the easiest, I guess (in terms of working hours, at least)

I used to be into that, check out dnforum.com. Its pretty much the best site for buying and selling domains with traffic. It hard to get good domains these days unless you have a ton of money or want to deal with typos. As far as my experience there is way more money in affiliates

I'll take the 500 hoes all day long! Why? Cause I can make more money with them.

Your basically asking whether I would rather be Yahoo with their exclusive feed program or Google with their adsense powerhouse.

Google recognized they could rake in the cash if they provided an easy monetization method for every website on the net. They did it and now they are worth a gazillion bucks while Yahoo is playing catch up trying to grow beyond the same elitist attitude that Hitfarm has.

Looks like Ditto Domains does basically the same thing. My first instinct is that Hitfarm probably pays better and converts better, but Ditto seems like they take anyone.
