Ok.. So their server is down right now. Everything still works in my prosper202 that I recently installed. But the Spyview does not. Why would their server matter, right?

Well spyview cannot connect to THEIR(I assume its theirs, mine is fine) database right now. Their server is offline.. One can only assume? Anyone who knows this system better know what the deal is?

This is what it says..

Error establishing a database connection



This either means that the username and password information in your 202-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host's database server is down.
  • Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
  • Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
  • Are you sure that the database server is running?
If you're unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the Propser202 Support Forums.



Anyone know why it connects to their server? I'm about to start analyzing these php files to see what is going on.
 


Pretty sure it was just a coincidence, that they may have been having server difficulty at the time of your spy-view potentially not working.

That 202-config.php, I've checked it out, if you view it thats only connecting to your database, so at the time it couldn't connect to your database, there isn't any mysql connection to the tracking202 host.

The only thing I've seen that shows is the prosper202 needs update alert, rss feed, and that advertising spot they just put in. but check out the source code thats why they made it open-source
