Yeah, we're bad ass. There's been dozens of gang related executions in Vancouver over the last year with, as of March 9th, 31 shootings and 12 fatalities since January alone.

2 men found dead in Abbotsford
There was a good one where a really swanky restaurant got shot up with machine guns last year while one or more of the gang bangers was eating with a bunch of his friends.
There was another one in which 6 people were shot up (2 died) in a Chinese food restaurant.
There's some speculation that some of this is tied to what is going on in Mexico right now, as a lot of kids from there and further south (Honduras, etc.) showed up in Vancouver a few years ago to sell crack and heroin. That, and we've had issues with Asian gangs and Hells Angels for a very long time.
I don't mind if they're just killing each other. The problem of course is when they take their battles to the streets, innocent bystanders are often caught up in it.

I'm pretty sure all those articles are wrong. Canada is a very refined country with absolutely no crime what so ever.
