Home Page vs Inner Ranking

I have a keyword that is ranked very well with an inner page. The inner page goes into great detail about the "red widget inspection". Would it be wise to let it be and still get the good hits or should I start blasting some stuff towards my home page to get that ranked also??

Yeah I was writing quickly. The domain is a PR4 and 7 years old. I dont want to fuck shit up with it, since I do make a lot of money with it.

Yup let it be Aim to rank your homepage for whatever keywords you were aiming for. be happy that your inner pages are ranking well. Now you have a broader keyword base and a strong stepping stool to start out on.

Aim to make everything look natural, adding links and drip feeding.

Blast = Spam. That's why you got the spam comments on your thread. Build quality links to main page, use linkbait to inner pages, use main index page to point to your money maker pages, use sitewide internal links (footer, navigation) to point to your money pages.

Keep your visitor busy. Make use of the different parts of your page (the sidebar, footer). DONT blast your homepage as it may cause negative impact on your website. Just optimize your sidebar and/or footer. put navigation to the other page of your site in the footer or sidebar.

No need to keep people busy, they already know what they want and need when they hit my pages. My only problem is some fucker came and registered an EMD with that exact term and sticks at #1.

So you've got an inner page that is ranking better than the home page, I've held the position for awhile that inner pages can rank just as easily in G as the home page (yes, even if EMD). The 2 pages are targeting the same keywords, correct?

Sounds like you've got a chance for an easy double listing...congrats.

Does your homepage have all your desired keywords in the title?
