I just got a domain and hosting from Hostgator. This is my 1st attempt at building a site, so needless to say, I literally suck at it!

The second step in setting up my account, I already hit a wall. Apparently Windows7 does not support Hostgator's webdisk. From what little I know about the webdisk is that it will allow me to access, upload, edit, and basically view my files much like on my home computer.

How much extra work does this problem create?

I mean is having the webdisk something easily done without, or am I fucked?

Friggin figures, the only OS not supported is the one I have! F..K!!!
Knew I shoulda bought a Mac!:angryfire:

You might want to check out fantastico in your cpanel until you learn how to use FTP. It doesnt create much work once you have the idea down on how FTP works and then move on to learning HTML/PHP and MySQL etc. You have ways to go. Forget about webdisk.

sound like a big noob.

maybe you should spend another year learning how to use a computer and the internet properly instead of blaming it on the OS you are running.

Sure bash the guy who openly admitted this was a first attempt!

To everyone else who actually pointed out some solutions, thanks.

meh, that's exactly it, first attempt, how about try something different, different browser, difeerent security setting, different computing, before resorting to posting on a forum. this isn't even the hostgator forum ffs.
