How Ad Networks optimize?

I'm talking about the pulse360 & adsonar-like networks. I'm watching their optimizations on my campaigns and many of them don't make sense (at least to me, i have more than 6 months experience with these networks). Do they optimize to make me profit or theirs?

WHY ARE YOU ASKING US?

Why not call the agency and ask them? I'm sure they'll give you a rational reason.

Also, if their changes increase your ROI, keep them. If not, revert them.

same here! They discourage me to take control of my campaign claiming that they have information that is not accessible to me, which is necessary to optimize.

I am optimizing one of my accounts and i take into consideration dozens - hundreds of leads stats. They are optimizing a second account but i can't understand how do they decide to pause an ad variation while it is almost not tested and raise the bid for another ad variation (in the same placement) that converts awfully (much worse than my CPA goal) with 2 or 3 leads, to let it run alone. And many other similar optimizing decisions.

lol what do they have that you dont? im not familiar with pulse but i know you get to pick your targets on adsonar and your bid price. If its converting then keep it, if its not then dump it...what is so hard to understand? Don't get owned by a shitty rep.

Ad Networks have programs and analysts that keep optimizing offers in the back. If you are re-brokering from another network, it's best to ask the AMs for the highest performing offers.
