Say you just wanted to reach everyone you could on Google's content network.

How would you do it?

  • Try and add a shit ton of keywords that hit every site?
  • Try and add every freaking URL as a placement you can?
  • Both?
Anyone try this back in the day of diet / rebills, etc when they just needed to cast a net and then pick the sweet spots?

Thanks.

Right on, thanks... Understandably.

I'm advertising some pretty soft shit, so will be OK.

Thanks again.

Just do automatic placements? You're not going to have the budget to target 'every site in the content network' because it would simply cost too much.

Unless you're targeting a specific region.

Hmm, I see that Automatic placements is new term for keyword based content network.

Yeah, no clean way to pull this one off.. I think I'll edge out slowly.

Anyone else have any ideas - common word list not working.. I broke it up into 10 per adgroup... make more sense to do 1 per adgroup?

Maybe I should just be adding every placement I can find... doesn't seem scalable.

Try a list of the top 1 million sites from quantcast or ad planner.

Groupon and pof seem to pull this off, though they might have more pull with goog.

Quality over quantity. Have you ever made money with content? I am assuming no... I spent 5 figures on content/per day with 3 adgroups (total of 60 keywords) my point no need for a million keywords unless you truly can spend 100k+ a day (which I don't think google would even let you) if so good for you otherwise you strategy is off. What do I know not some guru making 1 million a day
