How do I attract affiliates

Hi,

I have just launched a new product (in my signature). I've been posting on forums to try to get affiliates. I'm just wondering what's a good way to encourage affiliates to try my site. I'm already offering a good promotion. What else can I do?

Don't just post asking for affiliates. Become a real, consistent member of the forums. You'll start to meet people. As you do, word will spread(by sig and more importantly by mouth).
Obviously, I don't own an aff network or whatever, but that's just what I'd do.
 
Thanks for the reply. Being active in forums and actually helping people is definitely one of the more overlooked things I must admit. Thanks for the advice.
 
Great advice. Networks that are involved in the forums and helping users out, giving them ideas, etc. seem to have the most success.

I just did a video about this on YT.

What do affiliates look for?

*Great branding - viable proof your offer converts
*Great resources - banners/landers/articles/pp temps...
*Great support - nobody likes the blind leading the blind
*Recruitment tools - (sorry for the quick selfpromo - ClickBank & PayDotCom Affiliate Software | Recruit Super Affiliates, Spy On Merchants & Vendors, Make Money Online Program | The Fat Rich Pig.) <<recruits and spys on affs.
*Long term management
*Hire someone for recruitment
*Sign up to 20 of the top forums - be active (wow that was hypocritical - i've been a member here for a while but it's SO HARD to participate in ALL of them ALL the time - so - sorry in advance!). Forums are your best friend imo.
*PAY - for premium recuitment spots/posts (i'm sure this board has them?).
*Most importantly - SUBMIT to all the aff directories (start with associateprograms.com)

*I'll agree with the above poster - shave legs, show skin, and smile :)

Cheers to you - i think i've seen your recruitment posts on DP or somewhere - the 'spike' brand sounds familiar (seeee? It's working already!).

High Affiliate Commission

Offer 50% or more commissions and if the product is low priced that can be a turn off too. I won't promote an affiliate program if I am going to only make a couple dollars from one sale. I would have to make alot of sales just to make a decent affiliate program. Do you have ready made promotional material too? Solo ads, sponsor ads, banners, and possibly short reports, video that they can give away?

Eclipse: Being an active member certainly helps spread word. But really talking to people works even better, I've found...
Sure, the people you talk to on forums may only sign up to have a look at what you've got, or not at all, but the word of mouth works better. They have a friend or talk to someone looking to get into AM, and the person you're already talking to says "Hey, I know a guy who's a great AM" or "I'm part of a program, sign up under me".
Honestly, I don't have to many people directly under me, but under them is a whole mess of sub affiliates

There are a number of ways to do it via free and paid advertising systems. I would say use a system that combines both free and paid advertising and brings in new subscribers to your list via a eye catching lead page.

The best way to catch new subscribers for your list is to offer free information that helps people to advertise their own business opportunities better in one well laid out system that includes other streams of income additionaly.


This system should include information on how to effectively capture leads and follow up with them and a easy method of duplication so that your or the systems marketing methods can be copied easily and duplicated by your prospects.


This is what I do and it is working good for me. I'm definitely starting to see some growth!
