My email account that was breached. I've had this email account for 7 years now and I don't want to get rid of. I never opt in with it, never register it, don't even make purchases with it, somehow last month I got on someones fucking list that blast 100K emails a day. I literally went from getting 1 spam email a week to 20 a day.

What are your suggestions? Have a couple thoughts of my own but want to see what you guys think.

1) Get a gmail address
2) Forward your mail to gmail address
3) Let the gmail spam filter deal with it

I regularly check my spam box and I am yet to get a false positive

For the most part Gmail has been on point with their spam filters, but they did shoot an email from C2M into my spam folder once...

Thanks for the recommendation, I think am am going to do that. Only problem is I like hotmail interface better then gmails. oh well.

I have found the exact opposite with Gmails spam filter. It regularly flags legit email and gives me a headache because of that. I'm accessing it with Thunderbird and it's a pain to always having to log in to the web interface to check for any false positives.

At the same time, it never caught a single spam mail.

Hmmmm, i've had gmail accounts for years and it's been great (always catches spam, never puts trusted emails in the junk folder). I never use it for my day to day emails though, hotmail is my favorite interface out of all of'em.

what's wrong with getting email? half of those junk emails could be a great marketing ideas for you or great offers that you should jump on.

I'm pretty content with what I am doing. I don't want to investigate what some fucknut is doing by blasting out 100K emails a day.

WTF! I call bullshit on this, I don't know why you would say it, but it's just too unbelievable to be true.

I mean "never caught a single spam mail"!

You get no spam to your gmail account then?

I get 50-100 spam emails a day to that account and it catches probably 95-97% of them. I get 1 in about 1000 false positives.

True, I do get very little spam in total. A couple per week, but they do slip through while legit emails get "caught".

Lol, OK Mr Google Advocate. "Never" is a slight overstatement. Out of ca. 10-20 spam mails I get each month (yeah I'm lucky), maybe 5-10 are slipping through. Yes I am biased because every so often I find legit email flagged as spam, which is quite frustrating and negatively impacts my belief in teh goggle spam filter.

I read it on daily basis to see wtf everyone is promoting and how the fk they are promoting it.

I always find interesting stuff in it.
