Okay so basically I have had my first proper attempt at a Affiliate campaign. Basically it's a lead program that I get paid around $2 a lead and I managed to pay about $0.06 a click for my traffic.

I was quite excited to see I had made a profit in my first day ($1.26) because I was already to move onto the next phase that I hear so many of you talking about - testing and tracking keywords, landing page variations, ads etc.

BUT! (dnn dnn dnn)

I have been hit with the stupid Quality Score downer now. Now practically none of my keywords are available for my bid grr. My landing page included a decent body of text, a few links to other parts, it's own (relevent) domain and some nice pictures.

I have some questions I really need answered if anyone is feeling kind.

1) Is there anything I can do to save this? Or should I move onto a new offer?

2) Also the (few) keywords that are still active are the ones that recceive next to no traffic but the quality score is 'OK' - is this a coincedence and is the landing page just judged as being more relevant or do you receive a higher quality score just for having low competition?

3) If I do revamp my landing page and try to make it better how can I let google know to re-assess it?

Holy fuck, $1.26!

Plz taech me to be successful intertubz guy.

KTHNKSBY!

Scale the fuck out of it if you put 100x more effort, You will be making over $100 a day!!!!!!!

The beers on you tonight!

Seriously, theres no feeling in the world like making your first buck. Good on you, and hopefully many more bucks will come after this.

Hey, you know what, as much of a cock as I usually am, I'm going to give this guy a thumbs up. He made a buck, that's more than most people who try their hand at this business.

@OP: If you're comfortable with it, show us your LP. You'll probably get a lot of detailed suggestions that way.

1. Keep working on it.

2. What?

3. You don't have to let them know, they do it automatically with magic.

I would like to congratulate you. As someone else already said - you've taken a major step and actually done something.

Hell, I would be impressed if you had set up the campaign and lost money - at least you're willing to take a step and try something, which is more than you can say for a lot of people floating around this forum.

Congrats man - making your first buck is a great feeling! Persist, and soon enough you will find more money...

Good luck

Add a privacy policy and a contact info page. Maybe pay someone 7 bucks to write 500 word article and post that on a separate page too. Break down your keywords into smaller, tighter ad groups and use those keywords in each ad. That should do the trick, good luck!

Bid wayyyyyy more at the start. You shouldn't really make money straight up.

A common mistake that people make with PPC and Adwords is that they put all of there keywords into 1 adgroup, try to place only 1 keyword per adgroup and use broad, phrase, and exact match so you have 1 keyword but 3 vaiations per adgroup.

Google suggests no more then 14 to 16 keywords per adgroup, if this is your issue then it doesn't matter what your CTR or landing page quality is going to be you will get nailed with QS if your placing all of your keywords in 1 or 2 or 3 adgroups.
