I bought 2 4GB sticks of RAM the other day as I was sick of Windows crying about Chrome & Photoshop being open at the same time. If I want to have 150 tabs open at once, I should be able to goddamit! Damn, RAM is cheap -$40 shipped for 8GB of SODIMM.

Anyway here's my question: how in the fuck can I hibernate a 6GB session to disk when I only have 2.5GB of free disk space. It works but I cannot understand why and the interwebz are not giving up the answer. Anyone know? Simply compression or what?

Bonus rambling story: We used to sell flash memory + RAM on eBay around 5 years ago. My god, that was a peasant business. Made about 50% of minimum wage on that particular venture and used to sell ahead of shipments coming in from China cos we had zero cashflow back then LOL. Somehow never got neg feedback despite leaving customers waiting up to 3 weeks. Memory got cheaper at such a fast rate that you had to turn stock over almost immediately or watch the value of stock plummet and lose cash. Would recommend to anyone starting out to avoid that business like an AIDS-infested brothel.
