Thank you.

I saw a post about this on one of the affbuzz blogs a couple of weeks ago but I don't remember which one. Anyone got the link?

That would be great if someone could post the link. Thank you for asking cougarclaws.

I just want to say what I did each day in daily videos (I might not do a lot some days), so I don't want them to be long and boring videos.

How long should daily blog videos be so they don't end up being long and boring?

Thank you,

Daniel

Dude, your site has a certain quality to it; charm?, whatever. Anyway nice work you gotz sum skilz.

btw, I'd almost never watch a 9 min vid. But I'd check out almost any sub 3 min one.

woot! Napolean Dyna- errr The Earth Emperor is back!

Keep it less than 3-4 minutes if possible. Two minutes is even better. Also, you can provide a transcript below it or in a separate PDF file for those who still don't want to take the time to watch a video even if short (myself). It's really annoying listening to slow speakers take 5 min on something that can be read in ~30 seconds.

Hi -Matt-.

What about doing the opposite?

Example quick video: "Today I went to the gym" (Showing a video clip of my body or something). Video done.

Example detailed blog post: (Post what I ate that day, my workout routine for that day, my weight for that day, a picture of progress [if there is progress].)

No, not really. Except if it's just some footage from like a sporting event -- then some background music can be werkin.

Cool. Thanks GerardWon.

The appropriate duration of a video blog is proportional to how interesting the subject of the video happens to be. Nymphomaniac lesbian Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders would warrant about 43 minutes, some random affiliate marketer, about 7 seconds.

10 minutes max. Personally I hate videos because it's so much easier to just read the shit in like 10 seconds than to watch a 5 minute video. The only time you should post a video is if it's something so fucking amazing that text would never do it justice. For example a blog post saying "I maxed out at 405 today" would be boring, but a video of you at the gym banging dubstep and jumping around and then putting up 405 would be sick.

However if they're videos about marketing or anything related to what most people post, then don't even bother because that shit is so boring.

By the way, who the fuck registered lordoftheringtones.com? lololol

3-5 minutes. Nobody is gonna watch anything longer than 5 minutes, and if they do, chances are they're fasting forward. You want to have content that's enticing the visitor anyway to keep them in. Short and sweet always works. Especially if it's every day, or roughly every day.

In that scenario it seems like the video is almost completely pointless...

If the point of the video is only to show your body, and not really give info, why not just stick with pics? Maybe a side-by-side Before & After pic, if this is going to be bodybuilding related.
