Was looking to start hiring a few VAs for bullshit work (Social Bookmarking, Manual Article Submissions, etc.), and was wondering what most people paid their "monkey work" VAs.
 


srs? you pay what there worth or what you agree on. $2-$5 for monkey work usually, obv depending on how good the skills and english of your slave is.
 
$55/week for mine. Does link wheels, directory submission, blog commenting, and most other forms of SEO work. Works 1-2 hours a day but his work does bring great results.
 
^^ I used twitter one time. Just put out a Tweet saying your looking for a VA and see who hits you up. You'll get spammed pretty good though but you can separate the BS
 
I have a team of VA's that here, from the Philippines and have quite good english skills and a well trained VA's that are also experienced SEO. They can work for 8 hours a day for 5 days a week. because we follow different methods, you can also instruct your VA on how you want your work to be done. And it cost only $70 a week.

I got an Indian friend of mine to post on some Indian message board to find my dude. I just made sure he understood english and then wrote clear precise instructions for him (including screenshots and video if needed). Sure it's a pain in the ass when I need to teach him something new, but it's not often that that's needed.

I've also got all of that documentation so if this guy ever quits I can just send it to the next dude.

I had originally planned to go to india or philipines and recruit a whole ton of this guys and resell it, but it didn't really seem like the demand was there at a high enough margin to make it worth while.
 
Are there any quality workers on oDesk?

I've been having a hard time finding someone who works at a decent pace.. they all seem to do shit slow as hell (milking time I guess)

I mean 15 social bookmarks an hour (what all the Indians are quoting me) ..I can submit at that rate on dial-up blind folded..
