How Reliable is Maxmind?

Anyone have data or a general feel for the reliability of Maxmind? I saw a figure for 90% but that was in 2007 - hoping they may have gotten better since then. I have a site I'm expanding to serve different countries, and was thinking of using maxmind variables to dynamically populate the offers on my page since I was going to be installing anyway to populate some info on the LP.

I've used the free version on millions of uniques and it works good enough. Of course as always, there's a paid version that's a bit more accurate AFAIK

These are their official numbers:

99.8% accurate on a country level, 90% accurate on a state level, 81% accurate on a city level for

The free version is decent enough. I've used it a few times with good results. I'm told the paid version is better but I haven't used it yet.

the free version afaik only supports city targetting for canada/usa.

what are you guys using for uk/aus city targetting?
