I'm running an offer on a network and just below breaking even on the PPC campaign. The network has the best street payout on this particular offer. How soon is too soon to ask for an increase on the payout? How many leads should I be doing per day before making this request? Thanks

Thanks man,

I was actually thinking about PMing you direct and asking you. You have a great blog. Thanks for the tip.

I agree with Nicky, depending on the network I can usually get a raise up front, and a little more when I start pushing decent volume.

Josh, what do you consider decent volume? Decent volume for me might be a lot smaller then for you :)

Asking up front cant hurt. You won't get any significant bumps until you prove your traffic is valuable to them. Once they realize your earning potential, ask for a commission raise, give them an ultimatum that you will switch networks if they say no.

If you are doing PPC, you could also push an offer at the default payout for a little bit and then tell your AM your campaign is only breaking even so you need a bump if they want you to keep promoting it. Nobody can really give you a # of sales/leads that counts as 'volume' without knowing what you are promoting, 1k leads on an email submit might not be a ton, but 1k leads for a debt offer could be huge.

that actually is the situation

There is no harm in asking right away but keep in mind if you are new to the network and not giving them any volume they probably won't budge. If you have sent them quality traffic on other offers in the past they will bump you before you even start promoting a new offer.

If you are new to the network or not sending them any decent volume yet then just ask your AM what kind of payout is possible with the offer you are running and try to work out an agreement where if you reach a certain number of leads a day/week then he will increase your payout. Then you have a goal to shoot for as well.
