Hi there, and just wondering, does anyone have any ideas on getting startup funds? I currently have nothing. I'm under 18, so job opportunities are crap, and I can't get a loan.

I don't need much, just enough for hosting, domain, a little bit of SEO.. probably around £50.

I've tried fiverr, but there's so many indians doing arduous jobs for just $5, it takes too long, especially with the $40 minimum payout.

So, any suggestions? I'm not thinking I'll make six figures at the moment, obviously that's a future goal, but at the moment I just need to earn a bit to actually start, cause currently, I'm in a pit I can't escape from.

Any suggestions?

Thanks very much.

P.S. mandatory tits.

Get a paper round, a Saturday job, do chores for neighbours, sell some of your old shit.

Seriously wtf, even for someone under 18 £50 isn't difficult. I used to bust my ass doing a morning round, evening round and a weekend job.

I'll save you the time and money now by saying if you're not prepared to work, give up AM now. This isn't a route to easy money.

Edit: One other serious suggestion, sign up to a couple of cashback sites offering daily clicks.

Listen to this, a few times and pay attention to the "bitch get a job" part.. problem solved.

I used to bail hay and dig fucking holes for money when I was your age.

Look into young entrepreneur grants from the government.

...There are some (at least here in Canada I believe) if you're under 18.

Don't go from the stuff online on gov websites. Find out the people you need to talk to from public records and get in touch personally though Facebook, if you can find their e-mail, etc.

That's smart hustle.

Test your copyrighting on several cardboard signs and stand at freeway exit ramps.

One creative one I saw yesterday was a bald chick (shaved, not hair lost, given hair was dark brown and she was real light) with

"Late Stage Cancer
Homeless & Hungry
Please Help"

I bet the eCPM on that is REAL good

DUDE 50 pounds.... Get a job ask a family member learn how to hustle....

or you have to get to work

Why does everyone think AM is so different from every other business? Like I feel you man props for wanting to get started, but if you want to start a brick and mortar store for the most part your questions/answers will be the same. If I wanted to start a store that sells sports equipment and I needed some starting capital, I would go to the same places as I would if doing it from the start on the internet, banks, friends, or GETTING A JOB AND SAVING? Hrmmm there's an idea.

hosting, domain, a little bit of SEO.. probably around £50?

Why not start your first website using blogspot.. It is free.. hosting is also free. Lots of 5 figure blogs started out on blogspot. I am a big fan of blogspot. My first ever website was on geocities, second was on blogspot. "september 2003" .

SEO: DO manual Bookmarking, comment posting, directory submits, articles writing, link exchange. etc..

Get SEO traffic, or article directory traffic.. adsense and/or CPA or even clickbank.

If you only need 50 bux just write ten articles for someone in the BST.

Save up £5, invest that £5 into 5x lottery tickets, your sure to win at least £1.4m which should guide you on you way.

When it comes to indians.. some people will look for quality over price, if your native english speaking then your quality 'should' be higher, just find those people, write some samples .. etc

I tried to do what you're doing -- slugging it out. It's a great way to learn while you start your business, but it's hard to pay the bills and come up with all the money you will need to really accelerate things. I started up some web properties and recently took on an offline job for $22 bucks an hour. Trust me, it sucks sitting around with no cash in your pocket, lots of ideas that cost money and having to do work that doesn't pay well for the time you need to invest.

If you don't have a valuable skill, or any websites on the go; you're best to build up some bank with something that will let you save a pile of cash and work on things in your spare time. Lots of people have pulled off the rags to riches story from behind their computer, but the saying "it takes money to make money" is a serious reality.

Do things that are free e.g. article marketing until you raise enough capital to venture into other traffic venues...

joe...like some peeps are saying...get a job.

you've got desire to make money...that's a start but learn how to take your steps to making money.

get a part time job...for a few months...save that money since your living at home. then with the $$$ you can invest some of that and have more to play with.

figure out what your good at. design? programming? can you build sites? if you know about aff marketing then try it...but stick to what your good at.

i got banned a few months back for bitching about 'how to make money'...was the best thing that could happen to me in here. bitch, get banned, focus and lucked out with another partner and now i'm on my way.

point is...keep plugging and don't give in.

When I was first starting and wanted to do PPC I worked part time at my dads gun store in the warehouse and wrote articles selling Clickbank products. I was able to make $400 fairly quickly so £50 shouldn't be that hard. Hell if nothing else you can mow a few lawns for that.
