Does anyone have an idea about how to get around Google serving me adverts for my specific geography based on my ip address?

I am trying to research the adverts that are appearing for specific key word searches to see who my competition is and as I am in Australia, any searches I do, even from google.com serve me adverts from Australian advertisers....I'm trying to see whats being served in the US.

Also when I test some of the adverts landing pages, most of the time I get a message saying they cant serve my geography and send me to a bullshit alternative...so I'm not seeing much of the competition.

Any ideas?

I am having the same problem. If anyone knows how to get around it it would be greatly appreciated!

It is really annoying when i can see most of the offers on azoogle because of my geographical location.

G'day Mate. As a fellow Aussie, I came across the same problem. The answer is to use the Adsense Preview Tool - https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=10005

This allows you to preview your ads as it would appear to a user from about any country in the world in different formats. You can also play with colours etc and see how it would match your website. IE only for the time being.

Feel free to add to my Reputation for this :)

Thanks for that Claude. I'll give that a go for Adsense. Note the proxy solution I found above also lets me check out and preview azoogle offers etc without being redirected to a local offer.

Seems to be a ton of Aussies floating around :)

you can also do the normal search in google and then add
&gl=us to the address in the address bar. (Then press Enter) This means in google speak "global location" is US.
(works for other countries as well)
