I'm sure, many of you are familiar with this situation: you spent a lot of time and effort on a dating campaign, finally started turning a decent ROI and a week later you get a friendly e-mail from your AM saying that the advertiser dropped you from the offer for "low lead quality". It's frustrating.

So how can you improve lead quality?

First ask your AM about how that particular dating advertiser judges quality. They all have different metrics, some care more about message rates, how quickly they upload pics to their profile, and some are based on straight percentages of free to paid memberships.

Once you have that info adjust your ads to push for that type of activity.
You can use the metrics in your adcopies such as "Join And Start Sending Messages Now"

Avoid call to actions that go against their metrics for quality such as "BROWSE PICS" or "Hook up for Free"

Match the niches. For instance if you're promoting a general dating site using the BBW angle don't make an outright claim that the site is a BBW ONLY site. If they signup and see a bunch of skinny peeps they'll ditch the site pretty fast.

Don't use the word Free liberally or at all if possible.

I hope that helps!

Stop using POF you fucking idiot

I've literally never had an issue with lead quality in any vertical on any traffic source, except for POF

1) I would avoid using the word "free" in your adcopy.

2) Like someone had mentioned above, get some merchant insight into how they determine "quality". Most of the time it's how many leads convert into a paid subscription, but depending on the offer your advertiser may be looking at something else.

3) Are you targeting 18, M? This could be your issue right here. Sure it converts great for you, but those leads are worth nearly nothing to the merchant. Shoot for 30+ women even if that demographic is not profitable for you.

4) If you're using a landing page you could always use verbiage that will push the user to where you want them (ie to convert into a subscription). Sure not every lead will convert into a sale for the merchant but if you can get 1 out of 10, I'm sure they'll be happy with your "quality".
